Nestled in the heart of the Pays de Mayenne, in
St-Fraimbault-de-Prières, the Jardin
de Cydonie (Garden of Cydonia) is a small green
paradise with beehives, fruit trees, herbs and
spices.
In this preserved environment, we cultivate our
orchards and our plantations carefully respecting the
cycles of nature and the seasons, and produce high
quality local products: quince
jelly and
quince cheese,
mixed berry jelly,
saffron, sichuan pepper and
herbs. The pollination of flowers is done by the bees
from our hives, which produce throughout the season a
high quality honey, with which we prepare a delicious
gingerbread and traditional nonnettes flavoured with
home made bergamote jelly.
Gold color, slightly orange-yellow, this honey comes from the nectar of flowers blooming in summer Mayenne countryside: bramble flowers, chestnut and wildflower meadows. We harvest it in July.

Use: Quince jelly is very popular on toast in the morning, as a topping on an apple pie or as an accompaniment to foie gras, cheeses such as Roquefort...
Ingredients : quinces, sugar, waterFrom the fruits of our farm, we elaborate a delicious quince fruit paste. The fruits are picked when they are ripe, when they turn a beautiful golden yellow and start to exhale a delicious and bewitching perfume.
Ingredients : quinces, sugar, waterWe make our red fruit jelly from the best fruits from the blackcurrant, redcurrant, raspberry and bramble plants grown on our farm, without any added jelly: the pectin naturally contained in the fruits, and carefully controlled cooking are enough to produce a jelly rich in flavour and deliciously melting in the mouth.
Ingredients : raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, sugar, waterProduced from pepper trees (Zanthoxylum piperitum, also known as clavaliers) planted on our farm, we harvest this pepper every autumn. With its unique flavour, it can be used on its own to season a dish with its powerful peppery, aniseed and lemon aromas, to spice up meat and poultry dishes, for example. Sichuan pepper can also be used successfully with desserts: it will enhance the sweet taste of a chocolate mousse by giving it a spicy, tangy note; it will be wonderful in a fresh fruit salad or with sorbets.
